Two main projects are in the works.

I’m founding a media company dedicated to preserving America’s musical heritage through documentary film, recordings, books, and educational initiatives.

As a lifelong music educator and jazz artist, jazz music and notably jazz piano, is deeply meaningful to me as well as to a growing number of young students and fans worldwide.

TBG Music Project 1

Eclectic Jazz Piano and Organ Music

This music is in the works and is a combined project of practice sessions, full tracks and concert performances featuring Joy Julks’ compositions and interpretations of jazz standards.

Joy Julks is a lifelong musician, composer, music educator, producer and upcoming filmmaker. As composer, she has music appearing in various TV episodes and films. She has performed, toured the world and recorded with Bobby MacFerrin, Sheila E., Pharoah Sanders, Angela Bofill, Joe Henderson, John Handy and more. Joy is currently recording several projects, as well as producing a film project, a documentary and a podcast. Your donor support is greatly appreciated!

TBG Project 2

Legends of Jazz Piano Documentary

We’re creating a documentary film celebrating the enduring legacy of four of America’s greatest jazz piano legends: Duke Ellington, Bud Powell, Art Tatum, and Hank Jones. Through performances, storytelling, and historical insight, the film explores their extraordinary contributions to jazz and how their music continues to inspire today’s artists and audiences around the world.

Every generation has an opportunity to preserve the cultural treasures it inherits. Jazz is one of America’s greatest artistic contributions to the world, yet many of its stories remain untold. Our mission is to create beautifully crafted documentary films that honor these artists while inspiring future generations of musicians and audiences alike.
